artic 595
WHAT ARE THE PATTERDALES LIKE? TRAINABLE? GOOD NOSE? ALSO THE LAKELANDS? Quote Link to post
huntwithhounds 3
I see were your coming from dev but don't totally agree. Not every terrier owner can get permission on foxes especially in this country!!!!. At the end of the day a terrier will work anything you want it to be it rabbits, rats foxes.I like nothing better than bushing with my two borders, and also if you can get a small pack working hedges/woodland in the summer when their is plentyful supply of rabbits theirs not alot more enjoyable.I would like to think of my terriers as been allrounders.PS isn't bushing in the summer a good way of maintaing fitness just ready for the winter? 1 Quote Link to post

huntwithhounds 3
my dogs are not just used for digging, their used for ratting and rabbiting to.Lets get back to the original post before we get into a totally different debate!!. I've been on many shoots and seen some of the best cockers and springers work but i've never seen a dog to match a terrier in brambles/rough etc.for a bushing dog you will not go far wrong with a jrt or a border. ps their also always a chance it could finsh next doors cat as well bonus!!!
