tommy9 13
due to a massive influx of buzzards in my area I have noticed a dramatic drop in the number of rabbits . I travell between glasgow and edinburgh most days the most Ive counted was ten on a forty mile stretch. I have also noticed the amount of rabbits I used to see on the the edge of the roads feeding have decreased dramaticaly. I now travel fifteen miles to a golf course to get work for my dogs due to the bunny shortage in my area. Ive even thought of reintroducing them to areas near where I live but dont know if Id be wasting my time.pigeon men in my area also cant beleive what they are seeing threes and fours soaring above busy towns freaking out a lot of the yearlings with the pigeon men cursing under their breath.Has anyone else noticed this ? dogs-n-natives 1,182
They are pretty much everywhere i travel now. But I dont think they would be responsible for wiping out the rabbits, they will take some of them, but rabbits do get wary of them if persistently harrassed. The pigeon men have little to fear from them, the sparrow hawk, goshawk and peregrine are the ones that will take pigeon regularly. Quote Link to post
