gunner1966 0 Posted April 6, 2008 Report Share Posted April 6, 2008 This is my problem i see rats running around at the top of my garden but the rats have dug under a shed cant see eny runs. and cant put the ferrets down and cant smokem out i have court 6 so far on the snare and nipper traps so what is the best way to trap a rat? p.s i can't use poison as my harris hawks mews is next to it and she has alredy had one. Mk 4 Fenn in a tunnel...........(along the shed side) will account for most of them after a short while. Leave it in position to mop up any newcommers to the area. Quote Link to post

tonetone 0 Posted April 6, 2008 Report Share Posted April 6, 2008 as previously said get a fenn inside a length of pipe. but try sticking it along the top of the garden parallel with the fence, close to the shed. i dont think you should have it along side the shed because ratty has already reached home/safety. get it a bit away and he will like this extra cover on his comuting to and fro. THEY LOVE PIPES . i have two pipes(8inch diam & 10 ft long) near my silage pit, traps set all year, they constantly catch. good luck tone Quote Link to post
