byrney 2
Just started taking my 7 month old Bedlington x Whippet/Grey pup on a new walk. The walk is around a basin shaped peice of land and its teaming with rabbits. She's starting to show a real interest in them now, she spotted a couple this morning and gave chase, she was a little unsure so it was only a half hearted attempt. The rabbits where slow moving, probably heavily pregnant but they easilly got to cover. The question is should i be letting her run at them or should i have her on a lead at the moment. I'm in no rush and dont want to ruin her. Any help would be welcome. Quote Link to post
bird 9,969
It wont hurt the odd run now and then, but i would not do it every day. When its about 10 months try it on a couple 1/2grown rabbits on the lamp. With your kind of x it should be agile and quick, it should be ok just take it easy with it. BIRD Quote Link to post
