woops, as i said I am only new and the whippet is for the rabbits I just was'nt sure how they or thier crosses would go on foxes but i geuss you answered my question there. So what you're saying is the larger lurchers such as the bully/greyhound or collie/greyhound would do better than the smaller dogs like a staffy/whippet or kelpie/whippet on foxes. Taking into consideration that, as mentioned, I hunt in some fairly thick areas.

f**k the bull x to big for rabbits and fox...i suggest a whippet x beddy mate for what you want mate.( this is it dont go big).....this would do you fine pal...

hes in australia, which lends itself a bit of a predicament

u cant get half the x's u lot over there have, its either staghound/roo dog or maybe that with a bit of greyhound in it, or if ya lucky you may come across something different depending on where abouts you live

for example ive seen quite a few stags advertised over the years, only once heard of a kelpie/greyhound x being done here in western australia

have seen greyhounds for sale that are hunters, maybe 2 times in all the years ive looked... mind you i dont look all the time but there ya go

thats very true disturbed, Most hunting crosses here are breed for pigs and bloke seem to go for big mastiff types and dane types around here rather than a speed dog. Personly I used to use a kelpie/bully/wolfhound and a bully grey.

I have had a look around for some of the terriers I have seen on this site but they only seem to be available here as show dogs and dont look like the good working terreiers I see on this site.

yep if i remember right you can count the number of bedlingtons in the country on two hands, and they are all show breeders

ozziedoggers has a dedicated sighthound section, if you talk to the blokes on there and they get to know you, you will likely be able to get hold of some good hunting bloodlines
