Nice one to those who went out and got a couple :good:

Sorry for jumping in your thred here but just wondering, those who go out with there dogs on regular basis - do you just go for a stroll and if your dog sees something let him go for it? If this is the case then do you need to do anything in the way of warming him/her up?

Just thinking that if you take a dog out and let it run virtually straight away couldnt it do some damage?

Bit of a novice so sorry if its a stupid question

Gaz

hi gareth if i get lead out for the dog addrenalin excitement in that dog takes over anything, and cannot just let run on anything as that would be cat outside the house

its either a walk ofwhich warms them up before you get to chosen fields or walk from van to chosen fields and the dogs excitment warms them up too.suppose you could always rub musles to loosen them up prior at home if the dogs tight or a bit of a lame one :victory: good luck

never heard of a pulled muscle stopping a lurcher... They'd run on 2 legs to catch a bunny most of them, and if your lucky enough to see any quarry before the dog has 'warmed up', then its a risk we would all take... i would anyway.

yea ive never heard off warming a dog up but suppose everyone thinks differently

and yea they would run when hurt i used to watch a bitch with a broken leg and then

play as tho it was hurting all the time when healed which maybe it did but would always walk run fine when in field
