Hello again!!!

Recommended Posts

Hello again everyone, not sure if anyone remembers me but i joined up a few months ago now and made a few posts, then ive not been on with one thing and another, moving house, moving back with my parents, starting work etc etc.

Basically i have been thinking about getting a lurcher ever since i started reading the CMW, must be 3 years or more. I dont rush into things though and i think the time is not far away!!!

My folks are getting a small holding/farm in the next few months, we spent all last weekend looking so soon as weve got one then i will deffinitely be getting a pup.

I was thinking about bull/greyhound type crosses before when i was on. However i think i would like more of a general mooching dog, a few rabbits, shooting companion etc, and everyone says beddy/whippet. Are these easily trainable or should i get something with a bit of collie blood?

Has anyone got a beddy/whippet x collie/greyhound?

What would this type of dog be like?

Many thanks

Gaz

P.S. Hi to butch and anyone who can remember me :-)

When the time is right, why not go for a colliexgreyxbullgrey. You will get a good a nose from

the collie and maybe a good coat, and from the bull plenty of determination. :victory:

It would do most jobs you need.

Thanks for the reply, it sounds a good combination and i was VERY interested in the bull crosses before (my last dogs were staffy and EBT!)

However i was thinking that a Whippet/Beddy x Collie/Grey would be a bit smaller and better suited to the general mooching around smaller fields etc. I imagine a bull/grey collie/grey would be a fair bit bigger wouldnt it?

Thanks again, what does everyone else think about this?
