DDD 4
I think our tyre man is talking sh1t, I've got disco wheels on my 90, with 235's on. Reason - they don't bend as much as the standard defender rims. You can go big on the land rovers - 22" rims but you'll need spacers, lift kit, castor correction arms etc etc. Also bear in mind - MOT's have changed, unless it's standard or factory fit it's classed as an aftermarket accessory. A mate has put 285's on wolf rims but didn't bother with anything else & his rover was in a bad way. All you have to do is adjust your steering stops - it'll reduce your turning circle. The grinding is just the tyres rubbing on the radius arms. Hope that helps.

DDD 4
Tell your mate to go easy on the stops, they are a right pain, you don't want to snap the bolts! They generally are V.F.T!!
