spudlington 3
Getting a moderator for my Sako Finnlight 6.5x55 very soon. Think it has come down to an ASE unit but which one do people use/recomend?? I had a look at both the Jet-Z COMPACT and the S5 today, leaning towards the thinner longer Jet-z compact but just wondering how they compare to each other in terms of performance and noise reduction. spudlington 3
The standard 1/2 inch thread. About €350 from Crescent Sports in Monkstown Co Dublin. Deciced against the T12 reflex based on the size, the fact that my hi-leg bipod would probably touch the mod when folded up and the fact that they can't be stripped for cleaning. Quote Link to post

jamie g 17
Thanks - that price seems good considering how everything here is usually twice the price Have a look on the net about the thread size - if you look at the link I sent - We can anly recomend the use of 1/2 x20TPI (UNF) threads on .22LR and .22 Centrefire rifles.Infact anything above .223 Rem should idealy be threaded at least M14 . Haven't a clue really why it wouldn't do - maybe someone else can say? its to do with the thickness of the barrel mate to. ie if you have a heavy they like to keep the thread as thick as poss. i guess if they screwcut it down to 1/2inch then it takes some of the barrel strength away ? thats what i was told most 22/250 ive seen screwcut are 5/8 thread but i think it depends on what thickness the barrel is to start with Quote Link to post
