How old is the dog and how long have you had it? Surely if you like the dog you could give it a chance to gain a bit of physical condition over the summer and worked on a bit of training it might be worth the effort next season? Keep us updated on his progress.

aparently its 18month the lad who bredd it is well known throughout yorkshire and has good stock but according to my pal even that lad says i am wasting my time due to the abcess it had ,ive got the dog coming round now it was well timid before but i dont wanna get rid and it be passed pillar to post as i say it walks funny on its rear end and will it run its best if the weight goes on it properly?

why dont you take it to a decent running dog vet and seek his advice..theres a massive diferance between a top coursing dog and a pot filler...my one dog has crap conformation he swings his left fore from the shoulder and lands with more pressure on the out side of his foot.this is from an old injury...the dog kicks ass as a pot filler...i beleve this action is due to the old injury and is a mechanical floor and im happy to run him unless he shows he's in discomfort.....my interest in taking hare are long sinse passed so i can forgive him this fault......... :victory:

apparently it ate its own abcess of its back end and has something wrong with its legs.its a 5/8 bull 3/8 grey so they are not fast so even if it slows it a bit it will be too much, cut ya losses shoot it.bad ones take as much feedin as good ones

WHY SHOOT IT?

WHY NOT RE-HOME THE DOG TO A DECENT FAMILY WHO WILL LOVE AND CARE FOR IT AS A PET/FAMILY MEMBER.

I HEAR "SHOOT IT" "SHOOT IT" TOO MANY TIMES ON HERE, IS IT A MACHO THING?

HOW MANY WOULD REALLY SHOOT THEIR DOGS IF A SITUATION LIKE THE ABOVE OCCURED?

SHOOTING DOGS IS A BAD NO NO.......

a pet home for a bull cross, dont make me laugh, the breeding are all scatty anyway,id rather shoot it than see it passed from pillar to post..people round here certainly dont want 4 stone bull crosses as pets,if you want the fukin thing ask him im sure he will even gi ya a bad of food free wi it

NOT ALL ARE SCATTY, AND THEY DO MAKE GOOD FAMILY PETS. THATS COMING FROM SOMEONE WHO'S NOT INTO BULL X'S......

OK LETS ALL SHOOT OUR UNWANTED DOGS!!!! :wallbash:

yes great idea.lets give them to people.who may then breed out of more fukin shite producing more shite pups to be passed about and mistreated so ya end up wi loads to shoot or giving the whole breed a bad name,i know the dog and its breeding,it wont run well enough to work, you find a home for it and can bet ya bollox its yours.i wouldnt want it in my kennels as a pet for sure, but there again i workmy dogs so have no room for none workers.if i kept all the jackers i have had i would need a fukin housing estate to kennel them..... :wallbash:

SHAME THAT :icon_eek:

I would get rid of the dog however you see fit. But do not waste time and money on something that is not right from the start. I would PTS and get another after all it is a dog not a kid. Funny how all the non-hunters post about rescue.
