Introduction

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, seeing as I hadnt done an introduction yet I thought I may as well post it in the forum I will be spending most my time in. Recently bought a Webley Falcon FN19 Pre Charged from our local gunsmith, however I felt it wasnt the gun for me because the issue of re-filling was annoying meaningt hat iw ould have to buy a new tank, and still after 50 shots you couldnt trust the gun to deliver a shot to where it should ahve gone. I was suprised as I had read good reviews but maybe there was somethign up with mine. So I went back tothe gun shop and he kindly let me make a change, so I bought the Weihrauch HW95 with a pretty nice awke scope. Much happier with having a break barrell as you can just fire as much as you like. It seems very well built and I have been enjoying it. Trying to get my head round the physics of how zeroing in your scope at say 20 yards may mean that it would be above at 10 and bellow at say 30. However Im learnignt ofire with the recoil of the gun to get some pretty nice shots.

got my first rabbit with it the other night, went out in the evening with my friend (scratchbat) and headed to a spot we knew. Its is in like a 'V' shaped peice of land where an old railway used to be, and has rabbit holes either side of it. We had been up once prior and unfortunatley been unlucky at the angle in which the rabbits came or just missed. However this time I was mroe confident shooting at say 25# yards from target shooting. Eventually a latrge rabbit ran out but it was quite dark 19.45ish. Flicked on my reticle iluminator on a medium green. Really took my time with the shot made sure everything was in order, comfortable, not using my middle finger (a habit), Lined it up and thwack! First rabbit kill with this rifle. ran over to our amusement it was a real clean head shot. used some rounded tip pellets as I think the've surely got to be the best all round.

Managed to almsot get my eye poked out on the way back i nthe dark aswell.
