It doint sound right, we all been on hot ground now and then, you doint get to close to a house.

for that very reason, because they may have dogs. If they did shoot, why take it????

If you get pulled with dogs, you might bull shit your way ou of it. To carry a gun no way, i think

whether a poacher or keeper it was a horrible, stupid thing to do.

well knowing the landowner very well myself, and knowing what incredible dog lovers they are....I can say hand on heart its not them. Thekeeper i dont know so well but in talking to him I believe him. TM....no....not Kitley.....next one over!! and re timing, it was 2 weeks ago.

Speaking fictionally, if i were to dare do a bit of poaching, i'd make sure that nobody would know i was there.

 

For poachers (most likely to be "roadsiding") to shoot a dog, trek all the way from the road, to the middle of the field, to dispose of the animal seems very wrong.

 

Most poachers, know he will be caught one day, and to be caught in possesion of a firearm, doesnt bare thinking about. As someone previously mentioned, you can have all sorts of excuses to be in possesion of a dog, at any time of day & night... but try getting out of a firearms charge.

IAM AFRAID THERES QUITE A FEW IDIOTS RUNNING AROUND WITH RIFLES THAT SHOULDNT EVEN HAVE AN AIR RIFLE !!!!

 

I WILL TELL YOU A LITTLE STORY THAT HAPPENED TO ME A FEW WEEKS AGO ......................

 

I WAS EXERCISEING THE DOGS IN A FIELD AT THE BACK OF MY HOME ITS WAS DARK ...... BUT EARLY ......... I HAD JUST WATCHED A CAR PULL UP IN A GATE WAY ABOUT 5 FOOT FROM THE GABLE END OF A COTTAGE WHEN BANG

 

..... FECKIN HELL I THOUGHT THIS c**t IS SHOOTING AT MY DOG ! ,,,,,,,,,,, SECOND SHOT ....... AFTER I HAD CALLED THE DOG IN AND I HEARD IT BLAST THROUGH THE HEDGE AND OFF TOWARDS A ROW OF HOUSES ABOUT HALF A MILE AWAY ....... I GIVES OUT A SHOUT ..... AND OFF SPEEDS THE MOTOR ......... WELL I CLOCKED THE REG AND TYPE OF MOTOR ..... THE DOG WALKS OVER TO THE HEDGE AND THERE WAS A CAT TURNED INSIDE OUT ..... THOUGH THERES NO WAY THESE PRATTS COULD HAVE BEEN SURE WHAT THE HELL THEY WERE SHOOTING AT AND COULD HAVE QUITE EASILY KILLED SOMEONE .................................

, I WENT BACK HOME RAN UP THE HOUSE AND OFF IN THE MOTOR TOWARDS THE DIRECTION THE CAR WENT ............

I PULLED DOWN TOWARDS A SPOT BY A RIVER THATS A WELL KNOWN POACHING SPOT .................. JUMPED OUT ............. AND RAN DOWN THE HEDGE .................. THIS JEEP FULL OF DICKS WAS SHOOTING AT RABBITS WITH A GUN SUITABLE FOR DROPPING DEER ,

I COULD HEAR THESE PRATTS LAUGHING AS THEY EXPLODED RABBITS AT 50 YDS :wacko:

YOU MIGHT SAY I HAD A QUIET WORD WITH THEM .......... HOWEVER A FEW RAN OFF LEAVEING THE DRIVER HAVEING SOME SHUT EYE .............

A FEW DAYS LATER I WAS ASKING ABOUT THIS GROUP WHEN A LAD WAS TELLING ME THIS GROUP OF DICKS SHOOT OWT THAT MOVES AND HAVE SHOT A GROUP OF HEBRIDIAN SHEEP AT 400 YDS BELIVEING THEM TO BE ROE !! AND REGULARY DO OVER 100 MILES A NIGHT SHOOTING WHATEVER THEY CAN FIND AND LEAVE IT WHERE IT DROPS

HOWEVER APPARENTLY THEY HAD PACKED IT ALL IN BECAUSE A GANG OF FIVE KEEPERS HAD ATTACKED THEM AND ONE OF THE JEEP GROUP WERE HAVEING TO EAT THROUGH A FECKIN STRAW ............. WHAT A SHAME

lol @ duckwing , so are you branding all poachers with the same brush . do you think there is just five of them ? i for one would be careful as that sort of situation can turn nasty quickly as no one in them kind of circles likes a grass.

shooting at sheep and cats for the thrill is just wrong and im sure at somepoint they will get some armed response out in the field which could be amusing
