Bryan 1,362
yeah jigsaw thats the one, it's only handy really nothing special, i wouldn't like to lever it too much but handy for the price.that dig was easy on it because we picked through 2 feet of gravel then it was just scooping out sand. best thing about that one , it was it's first dig,we went on looking for more and the 1/2 a terrierman left it behind him !!! (good job he's sound really) best shovel i've come across so far was a catipillar made bulldog nosed, yellow fibre handled one Bryan Quote Link to post
jigsaw 11,866
Paddy you know too much, lol.thats my intention, put a metal handel on it.Bryan whered you get the catipillar shovel from? Quote Link to post
Bryan 1,362
here's the caterpillar shovel,it has a nice true temper drop forged head, the handle has a bit of flex in it and plenty space for your hand in the D.it's a nice size and weight for going deep and throwing over your head, but is a bit light, if it's all you had for stoney or rooty ground. i got it a few years ago in HSS tool hire, but can't find any since the picture make it look shorter and smaller than it is Bryan Quote Link to post

Guest Dunna
In response to Corkonian and Jigsaw, I to hunt down that direction and i know a group of lads that constantly go down there and don't back fill. They leave holes everywhere. Most of the earths they go to are left with more holes than a pool table! Quote Link to post
