What dog to get? To do the job!

Can collie cross greyhound work on the lamp, how many inches high to shoulder is good enough for ferreting and lamping, can you get them short coated yeh? HAve you got any better pics that one is smudged. lol

you can get short haired normally two types in a litter of collie x depending whats the breeding an my camera is shit mine stand 27tts at 12 month but i want a big one but he does work well with ferret and lamp and as i say only 12month he is coming on well :thumbs:

size if u are just going rabbiting around a 25tts a good size and good allrounder

Oh right good good. What does tts mean lol? What age do you start to work a dog? I want to do rabbits, lamping and ferreting and maybe the odd charlie for gamebird protection. :whistling: . SO??

tts means to the shoulder i had him working with ferrets at 5month and he got his first on lamp at 6month and getting better by the month charlie well then you want a good game dog one that can hold his or her own lol :victory:

I dont want to go for a really big dog else i will loose the small area ferrreting courses. So i would prefer not to run a charlie if it means i would have to change my decision so i prefer to go for rabbits!

get one of mike if he is selling them i dont think youll be dissapionted buddy theyll be good for your first dog and its bred to a good qaulity greyhound

 

 

What cross are they? Any pics of sire and dam? TTS? Thanks for the help guys and gals cheers!!

you dont need the bigger dog for charlie just one thats keen and size of the dog would

be on the person you were buying from would have the two dogs to see what size they would average in height and the breeder will be able to also tell you how good and what they are good for working :victory:

about 23" and 3/4 greyhound and 1/4 collie.

 

getting a small dog won't stop it chasing foxes or anything else.

there are lots of whippets that will catch fox
