It will be Garlands mate...the main uk stockist of Marshalls..I got a brand new Field Marshall reciever and two trannies at the FF in 2004..in total £900 and odd pounds..not a penny discount..not even free batteries..bacause they said I paid on a debit card...had it been cash they said they may have sorted free batteries out or something..

The Reciever let me down a time or two and went back and forward to the states..said they fixed it the first time..fine by me..same problem occurred again..I think they should have replaced it then..but they would'nt..sent it back again repaired..I had lost faith in it and sold it to a pal cheap..who knew the history and took a chance..this was all within 18 months of purchasing it..and five of them were spent not being used waiting for the season to start !!

I bought a new Lucksander direct from the states..much better in my opiniom..to be fair though I have heard good things about the new Marshall receiver..and I still use the transmitters..

I'll second that mate.

I don't know if you remember CW but when the Old Yahoo UKFalconers site was running I put a post up about a test we did with the Marshal and Luksander! both was on 173MHZ with the marshal complete with its own Transmitter and the Luksander useing its own 3v XLF 3 Transmitter. we did the test going out towards Lincolnshire where it was nice and flat with both Tranny's hanging from a tree, Both Receivers did a good account of themselves but when I switched on the Luksander Pre Amp it took it to another level, basically it blitzed the Marshal by a long chalk...

I put the post up getting a Instant response from Ian who questioned who the Marshal receiver belonged too and questioned how accurate the test was? I'll give him his doo though CW!! when I gave him the serial Number and date Purchased and also told him to contact BH he admited the system was purchased off him and excepted what I was saying was true....

I'm not slagging off the Marshals by any account! but LL Electronics and Custom Electronics who make the Luksanders have been in the business far longer than Marshal and build a good robust unit, My receiver which was purchased in 91 has been thrown down on the floor, slid off car roofs, and out in torential rain and never missed a beat, although now I feel it could do with Re-Calibrateing...

I have to agree mate...if only Marshalls would concentrate on making things well instead of how they look their products would perhaps take a turn for the better..

Yes I remember you putting that post re the test on the old ukgoshawkers site and I dont doubt a word of it..my first Marshalls kit was the old original TRX 16...never ever let me down once and I sold it to replace it with the new field marshall..a more fancy looking peice of kit..or should I say fancy looking peice of shit !!

all the best mate
