andy s410c 61
I ain,t telling porkies here i served 6yrs in the Royal Navy,2years on the trawlers at North Shields & i was regularly sick  .If your marlin fishing you,ll be trolling which should,nt be to bad.You can take the tablets but these can make you drowsy & drinking alcohol wont help. A good nights sleep,no spicy/greasy food, keep yourself occupied on the boat, wear sunglasses, hat & keep yourself hydrated.Keep away from the boats exhausts & dont let your mates know that you may be sick as they may do things to make you spew Quote Link to post
Malt 379
You can get bands that act on the pressure points on your wrists. I know a few people who swear by them. I don't know how they work, but they're meant to be sh*t hot. Quote Link to post

keeper 51 78
having run my own charter fishing vessel for a number of years [ there is only one guaranteed cure for sea sickness and that is to stand under a tree ] wrist bands can be a total cure for [ some people ] however on others they have no effect one way or the other so other than waisting a few quid no ill effects there lots of travel / sea sickness cures out there the most effective i have seen used is stugeron any good chemist remember read instructions and side effects if unshure do not take them start medication 24hrs before trip take remainder out on boat with you eat a light breakfast dress to suit conditions ALLWAYS take waterproofs and suitable footwear stay away from engine fumes wearever possible stay out on deck in fresh air this will also help the skipper as spew in the wheelhouse is a pain to clean and when starts sods law others are bound to follow     stay away from all booze or speak to skipper pay him his charter fee and have a day ashore and he will probably come on the piss with you :drinks: above all listen to what he has to tell you and have a good day out Edited April 1, 2008 by keeper 51 Quote Link to post

Guest Eamon.Mc
Sometimes it's good to have a groundbaiter on board, if it's a quick fix you want try KWELLS tablets they work but can leave ya feeling tired. Or if you can get them there is tablets that come packed in the life rafts not sure what they're called but the're the muts nuts. Quote Link to post
