to be honest ive never seen as many ...hares in a 3 mile radius of me this last couple of years ....they do take some spotting through the day in big numbers because of the terrain and cover .......but you out on the lamp you see them in abundance .....allover the place ....great init ... :clapper::clapper:

i got 2 areas with a lot of permission in lancashire, one is hesketh bank on a 1200 acre farm and another is brindle on loads of farms,i speak to the farmers regular and they tell me theres a lot and when i get up there i always have a wonder to watch and observe the wildlife :whistling::whistling: and can tell you theres a lot more now then there were in the 70s but i dont think there is as many dogs in lancashire capable of catching them like ther were in the 60s 70s and early 80s,mark :tongue2::tongue2:

there's always been loads up brindle but idont think there is as many as in the late 80s early 90s i certainly dont see as many as i did, there's loads pf places that used to hold hares that dont now & those that do dont hold as many used to they've been declining long before the ban. ATB Pritch

most people who have ventured on there get caught,i grew up there and know 95%of the farmers, its not the farmers who really care there sick of em,but wont let strangers on,its the syndicate you got to watch??????????a bunch of wankers who patrol it with there lives,ok they dont bother me but one of em 2 months ago got a bit of a :boxing: from one of my brothers, and thiss perticuler keeper had worked for my dad forclose to 40 yrs but when it comes to birds and other things it goes right to there head, for me everyone on the internet can go on i live in cornwall now,the thread is about hares in lancs and theres loads in that area, mark

ok, ok, lol, i should have specified a little more, i know places around lancaster were there are a lot of them, places onthe boarders of yorkshire. When i was young we had a lot more hares in my area than there are today. Greater mANCHESTER AREA, Burnley area, bolton area, chorley, and to an exstent the penines. I can walk today all day on good hare ground, and see basically f... all, or the odd one.
