How many rabbit in a night

Recommended Posts

I know this is a question that might cause arguments

but how many rabbits have you shoot in a night and what do you do with them

i regularly shoot 100 rabbits a night then gut them and take them to poeple that have owls and birds of pray

but the farms still seem to have 1000s of rabbits that is only one farm

Help me out here as I know nothing about birds of prey...WHY do you gut them?, owls/birds of prey don't have anyone in the wild to gut them, they deal with everything!!!!

20-25 on a good night, last night 4!!!

I once went out with a keeper in the grantham area ,it was late september ,and we were shooting off the back of an austin champ, the first night we shot 99 the next night on the same stubble we had 120,all the rabbits were dumped.the same keeper told me,that him and a keeper from Boston once shot about 300 in the same area ,none were picked up though ,as the only price they could get in 1986 was 15 pence head shot gutted and delivered

The amount of rabbits we shoot varies as to where we are....Most shot in one night is 83. Last nights total was 37.We only count those that we pick up and not them that we cant find or are too messy to dump in the truck...Most of ours go for ferret/dog food or are given away for same. Head shot bunnies are sold to Butcher though he wont take any that have been shot other than in the head as the .17hmr round tends to make a right mess of the body...

my best is 17 in a night but you can only shoot what is there in front of you.

i find worcester doesnt have as many rabbits as my friends ground in hereford.

i no he has 200 times as much land as i do. but every farm i see as them on there in the bucket load.

he said 52 is his best. but i no it could be beat easy. and one night we will do it and see what we get overall

with the 22lr's the jeep and the lamp.

could do with 4 people really say driver with lamp and lefthanded shooter in back behind driver.

then a righthanded shooter in the back on left behind a lamer in the front passenger side.

that why you have both sides covered. and the two shooters are in the right places then for being lefthand and righthand
