Ive not had any experiences like that with bull crosses, my 2 bull crosses are great with people, other dogs and very biddable, my mate has bull crosses as well and he has no problems letting my dogs hop in the back of the van along with his, theres an occaisional growl at first, but a stern word and they soon settle down. after the nights running they are all quite happy to crash out together. The aggression I saw in the cattle dog crosses was worse than I have seen in any other lurcher types, sorry if that upsets fans of this cross, but I can only speak as I find. :search:

Dogs now gone Hampshire way I think?????Who needs antis when there is this much shite between us lot. My dogs better than yours/My cross is better than yours/ Beuty is in the eye of the beholder. When Oh When is someone going to just accept all lurchers will always be different and always will be!!!! and put the dog politics to one side just for a while and realise we need to all work together otherwise there will be feck all dog work thats legal then there will be no need for any cross of Lurcher!!! We'll only have ourselves to blame through ignorance :realmad: because we cant stop bickering!!!!!

:11:  :11:  :11:  I wonder why this woman that breeds cattle dogs said it would be a bad idea crossing them with a greyhound ? It's the same things over and over with picking a lurcher cross someone says this  is good others say no they're shite .........IMO you can only comment on a cross when you have had that particular cross yourself and can obtain an unbiased opinion ................ I have a first cross Kelpie Greyhound who is in no way agrressive unless he is provoked by another dog but if I had a dog that wouldn't retaliate when picked on then I wouldn't be to happy with it to be honest ............ the dog has done evreything I have asked of him to date  and that includes and few of big rabbits so he is no way heavy and slow  ;) ....................... Loki have you actually owned a cattle dog cross or kelpie cross then ?

this is [bANNED TEXT] i mean bout people not readin the posts properly mike.your kelpie cross must be 1 in a million mush cos most are c**p.in every cross theres an exception to the rule and that must be yous dog mike, good luck to yous. :)

F U C K it can't be arsed with this B O L L O C K S :p:p :11:

No problem Tis my fault, I failed to mention that all of my dogs are complete bampots its just that Jazz is the worst cos he hates other male dogs with a passion. He is a big softie with me and he's ok with the bitches but he has to be kept away from Zack and Casper cos he just wants to eat them (typical staffie eh?

the above was said by charlie c in a earlier thread

what did you say about aggression ?

if we were all compliant sorts who agreed with everyone, then hunting would have stopped along time ago, before the ban in uk. it is what makes us who we are we are different we are testy and we dont conform. the arguements /debates on this forum merely reflect that. i personally enjoy the disagreement cos it provokes thought and discusssion. i learn a bit and my opinions change.

Shaun V maybe you should read those posts while your doing the cutting and pasting :11:

The 2 dogs I were reffering to were Pure Bulls which I bought in as young adults and neither of them had had much training thanks to their previous owners. If you get a Bull or Bull cross from a pup you can instill a lot of training in it that these 2 adult dogs sadly missed out on. Im sure you know this yourself, buy a dog in as an adult and you always take a chance that it might not be as well trained as if you rear a pup yourself.

The 2 bull CROSSES I have got here Ive had from pups and never had any problems with them cos I spent a lot of time training them and socialising them to be good with other dogs. :good:

I see your not a man to hold a grudge then just because I showed an interest in a tattoo kit and then never bought one off you cos a lad off here pointed me in the direction of one cheaper elsewhere

ive got the best lurcher in the world :good:  but im keeping quiet [bANNED TEXT] it is :D  :D

Best way mate :good: This site is full of bickering lately, you cant express an opinion without someone jumping on it or taking offence or even using it as a way to try and score points to settle old scores  .

I said very honestly and openly that I had liked the look of cattle dog crosses when I first saw them doing obedience work, so I invited them up to see them hunt and I found them to be very aggressive. Their owners freely admitted they were like that. It seems you cant say what experiences youve had of seeing a dog work unless you have owned one, and I havent owned one of these and nor would I so I wont bother posting any more. I'll leave youse to argue it out amongst yourselves. :(
