just a quick moan, why does every chav seem to own a frekin staff. I was running my dog on the beach today nursing a hangover minding my own, when along comes a massive staff and trys to rip my lakelands throat out, obviously i split them up and get bitten in the process.  It realy pisses me off you try your hardest to bring your dog on and you get these tossers who dont exercise there dogs dont work them and dont train them but they get them to look hard and wouldnt know what countryside is unless its on eastenders. So of course my dogs done his back leg in now happy days 

 

dont get me wrong they are cracking dogs but why does every jerk seem to owm one

i,ve owned staffs for 11 years cos i like the breed but i would not walk down the road with a big fecking harness on it cos i,d fell like a prick i do not wear small t shirts in winter and i dont think my dog is hard as feck i just think they are a good breed of dog for the kiddies and the house i wouldnt let them off the lead near any other dog walkers cos they do like a scrap .not all of them mind just a few of them really speaking it is not the dogs fault that it has been brought up by a prick its the prick who brought the dog up the wrong way whos to blame its down to the owner at the end of the day ........as what happend to u kentlad sorry to hear the dogs leg isnt right you should have given him a good fecking slap around the head

its bin said [bANNED TEXT] in the right hands they r not a problem every dog owner has a responsibity to control there own dog, ive had many a run in with staff tryin to rip my dog apart, i now carry a walking stick and if the staff show hes gunna start well u know [bANNED TEXT] happens next,, twat the stupid dog..

thing is though the right staff with strong enuough fight drive will not be disuaded by a stick at the end of the day this is a breed which has its origins in the fighting pit, even years of careful breeding as socialsiation there is still going to be an element of that there, you cant just undo centuries of breeding in a few decades.

these staffs are restricted in comparison to a versatile terrier such as the patt + lakie, for the “terrier†job at hand, no-yes?

 

why not go the full hog and keep the latter mentioned rather than a dog that can only possibly do half the job ? wat do staffs offer that the patt doesn’t ? just a view.

was walkin my patterdale in park as i let him of lead this twat with his staffie on lead doing his walk they do to look hard lol.My patt ran to him barking [bANNED TEXT] does the twat do pick his staffie up look am hard picking my staffie up ,called my patt bac and pissed myself laughing :11:

what has happened to this site lately

whatever breed of dog you own its up to you to be responsible and keep it under control, whether thats on or off a lead, you cant be going round letting your dog attack other dogs, even more so if its a staff cos it just reinforces the idea that staffs are aggressive

what a staff posseses is a very strong prey drive its original purpose was to fight in a pit against other staffs or pin a bull by its nose or fight a bear if your wife was out walking a staff and she was attacked by some prick the staff with his strong jaw and strong body would try his best to feck that person up and u would praise the dog for what he done if the same thing happend with a terrier pat lakie the out come would be different as if u went out after foxy the patterdale would be in his ellement and would go to ground better than a staff cos it is a different breed bred for a different purpose the pitbull and the staff are very closely linked and those that like bull greyhound crosses and the like.. want that sort of prey drive in there dogs so no to breed of dog can be like the other they are all bred for slightly different thing

guys i obviously dont have a prob with the staff, basicly my gripe was that you try and spend all your time and effort bringing your dog on and you get a tosser who cant control his dog regardless of breed, the problem is they do so much damage to your dog he is only 12 months old and he has been done over on three occasions now ironicly all by staffs, he is a nervous little dude at the best of times cheers for you posts i will post a pic of him..
