AIRGUNNER 1
The police have to prove that they are being used for illegal purposes before they can prosecute or take the matter further.
andy s410c 61
I don,t think there illegal as i,m sure they would,nt be available to the general public in the high street.I drive for a living & i dont own one but i,ve seen plenty of vehicles with them.Using a mobile is illegal but 1000,s of people still do whilst driving. If you intend to use it as a early warning system whilst driving to the speed limits i can,t see the plod stopping you however if it,s to aid you excessivelly speeding i think the plod might take a dim view of the detector if you get your collar felt

andy s410c 61
I,ve grabbed the wrong end of the stick Maty j  i don,t know about these laser jammer things i thought you where on about the radar detectors I have,nt a clue about the law regarding these. No doubt it would probalies go against the motorist as speed traps are for road safety not for generating income from the already heavily taxed motoring public
Rabbithunter 456
if you get pulled, switch it off. simple.
benj2212 0
i might be wrong but surely if the police pulled you because they couldnt get a speed reading with thier laser gun then thats evidence in its own whether you've unplugged it or not by the time you've pulled over. they'll do anything to catch you out nowadays. Batchee95 0
You could save the cost of buying a laser jammer by waiting about five years. By then all roads will be gridlocked and you won't be able to break a 20mph limit let alone anything higher!! lol
gsi2000stokie 5
ive never been done with mine. if you get flashed by a gatso from the front you cant be prosecuted anyway. if you are paced by a police car without a camera and they pull you just deny it. they always wait for you to admit speeding even only 2 miles over. never admit to shit all!!!! if you get pulled by a traffic car which is almost always equipped with a camera that car has to have been calibrated that day it is in use or it will not stand up in court because you could argue that the camera was not "calibrated" ie setup properly. if you get pulled by a pedestrian officer with a laser gun same again with dont admit to going over and argue that he did what is called the quick draw with it, or pointed it at a plane, or it again hasnt been calibrated. if you know the law well enough they are pointless things anyway.
