Have a cut on dog' s stopper that is recurred. Read somewhere that if you put cotton wool and masking tape you can run a dog anybody here anything on this?

have them of mate you will allways have prob got mine done £50 10 days back running you need a greyhound vet

you be better leaveing it of for 2 or 3 week's i find runing a dog that's lame make's it worse

Deff best to leave it till it heals....its there for a reason its like shock absorbers and brakes rolled into one when your dogs slowing down have it off and the only thing between your dog and a more serious injury is skin. Just be patient and let it heal properly.

let it heal fully theres plenty of time before the season starts. running the dog on hard ground will only cut them up more.

i had this problem with my beddy whippet last season.

i think masking tape may be a bit fragile i saw somone on here using self adheisive(sp) bandages

like what the vet puts ontop of a normal bandage so im gonna be trying that this season

Those are the co-adhesive ones Danny like Vetwrap. There not bad but you still need to put some padding on the stopper and take up the bandage. But as i said in my first post, If you keep running you're dogs on concrete ground it's going to keep happening but may be worse next time.

dont run your dogs on hard ground they will smash them like mad this time of year wait a while you will be looking for another dog come september
