Deff best to leave it till it heals....its there for a reason its like shock absorbers and brakes rolled into one when your dogs slowing down have it off and the only thing between your dog and a more serious injury is skin. Just be patient and let it heal properly.

i had this problem with my beddy whippet last season.

i think masking tape may be a bit fragile i saw somone on here using self adheisive(sp) bandages

like what the vet puts ontop of a normal bandage so im gonna be trying that this season

Those are the co-adhesive ones Danny like Vetwrap. There not bad but you still need to put some padding on the stopper and take up the bandage. But as i said in my first post, If you keep running you're dogs on concrete ground it's going to keep happening but may be worse next time.
