i was intrested in breeding a few grouse not many maybe 10 or so , i have one of these rcom fully automatic incubators. But how easy is it to keep grouse in captivity . also where can i get my hands on some hatching eggs for grouse as i had a post up before asking but i still couldnt manage to find any

There is a bloke at a place called Forgue near Huntly in Aberdeenshire who rears Grouse and some Caper. Google that and see if you come up with anything, if you don't have any joy give me a shout and I will find out a contact number for you.

well if you have years to go through the trial and error then good for you, but as you aint got the patience to read my replie properly then i doubt this very much... i said NI on ( ie nearly ) impossible!!!! but il bet any one that any attemt to breed grouse will have about a 99 percent fail rate... if it was that easy why do you think all these big high ground estates spend tens if not hundreds of thoushands of pounds per year, on labour, to burn heather, catch and worm the grouse, put out grit, kill vermin non stop, and the other endless list of habitat improvement that gets done, that they too would just rear them.. imo in this day and age if something is not done on a large scale, ie by a large number of people, then there is often a feckin good reason why..
