thats what i said bt it was plainly advitised id like to see it done i hear the weasles get killed when the yare introduced? id liek a pet weasle all the same they have always fasinated me pluckey little buggers id pay good money for a tamed one apparently they can outr pace a rabbit so taht wood be fun imagine lamping with a weasle!!

Do not know if this bears any relevance to the subject but i can remember reading a book called A WEASEL IN MY MEAT SAFE about a tame weasel think it might have been by JACK HARGREEVES who presented out of town ( if any one else is old enough to remember it ) Anyone ever come across a tame weasel

I beleive the book was by Phil Drabble.

 

As for breeding ferrets to weasels it's unlikely that the genetics would match.

Excellent photos there Fish In Plummers book, Hunters All theres a b&w photo of one of his pals with a tame stoat/weasel can,t remember the story of it tho.....don,t think it was any good for lamping

AS a curiosity factor ,i can agree with the crossing of ferrets and wild polecats but for work definately not .Man has spent thousands of years n taming the polecat ,whether European or Eurasion or what and you are fecking that up in one generation .Any ferret like thing bit me or my kids and it would be curtains .Think about what you breed and why .
