could have had polecat in him you never no if his mum was a albino ferret or his dad was albino?

I tend to think in his case it was more likely to be tha fact he hadnt been handled very much

a vet would have to do blood test to confirm if it is a true wild polecat not just feel its pecs and biceps,i had a ferret cross pole cat about 5 years ago..the young hob turned out to be the best ferret/polecat iv had...i obviously cant say this for the rest of the litter!!!because i later picked up a jill from the same litter and it was a nasty little f**ker, the breeding came about because a guy picked up a road kill polecat(jill) in wales,he put it in the back of his car ,thought he would take it to a taxidermist, any way when he got home the road kill wasnt dead!!!!! to cut a long story short the polecat had young, and was taken to chester zoo to have test done to confirm weather they was wild polecats.test comfirmed positive.

the guy kept all the jills back for him self and gave a hob to bosun11 ,it was completly different to a polecat type ferrets in apearence and attitude, and when we first took the hob out it was just carnage,my old lurcher marked a burrow, pole cat was placed in there then nothing for 20 mins not even a bump, out came the locater ,found the polecat, dug down to find a rabbit with a hole same size as a 20p chewed threw its skull, streight back with the locater found him agein ,dug down to find the same,it just sloughtered every rabit in the burrow in the same manner,20P SIZE HOLE IN THER HEAD!!!!

i just thought of the terminator every time i looked at the polecat.lol

bosun then bred him with his jill and i took two of the offsring.i would have loved to keep that line of polecat/ferret going but like all good things come to an end sooner or later.

i know it sounds silly but i read/heard somewhere of people breedin mink/stoats/weasels with ferrets and poleys . any ideas ?????????????

i aint heard about stoats and weasels being bred with ferrets and poleys but i have heard of the mink and polecats being bred together some russians claim to have done it theres a website somewhere about polecat hybrids, im due to get a polecat hybrid from this years kits , the guy im getting them from did the same thing last year , and he had no problems. hunting wise they seemed to work well. maybe right enough it takes a little more work to calm them down thats obvious and i think most people hopfully would understand this before hopping out and acquireing a animal that is half wild
