Guest Haggler
Went down south on Wednesday and met up with a buddy who has Harris Hawks. He was hunting Carbon’s daughter (Wills View Hunter x Granite Creek Carbon) in the sage and I wanted to see the terriers work with the hawk. Leo and Starfire in the sage. Rita finished out at 9â€, 9 pounds and has a 13†chest. She is half Jack/half Patt and the black dog below. She is the perfect size for running under the sage brush and flushing cotton tails for the hawk. On Wednesday the hawk got close but it was Rita who caught a bunny under the sage. In true terrier form she had to be pulled off her quarry. It was my first time out with Leo and one of his hawks and my first time seeing little Rita since he picked her up here at 8 weeks. She is a Ken James hole dog in the truest since of the word but has found a job harassing rabbits in the southern California desert and is just what Leo was looking for. Starfire hops back up on the walking perch after taking a shot at a rabbit in the sage. Haggler Quote Link to post
