ladyp 12
No, I'm not going but wish you all the success it's all for charity that's good. Who's organising the show? Just thought i would introduce myself. I am the organiser of the Show, my friend "Goran" was good enought to post the details of the show for me whilst I was being busy do other "stuff" for the show. It is the first show in Crewkerne and an attempt to bring another show into the South West. I have had good response from local sponsor's and preparations are going well. All I hope for is good weather. For your information, I have owned Lurchers for 11 years and I have been showing them for that amount of time. I have been lucky to own three good showing bitches and have taken top titles during the 10 years. My dog has been good at running and hurdling and I felt that it was time that I gave something back to the "community". Furthermore, the charity that i have chosen this year is close to my heart and has affected not only my family, but my god son too! I also own two staffs, one having qualified for crufts in his first year. I hope that this provides a little information about the show and myself and any further queries can now be directed to myself. Hope to see you at the show!! IT'S GOING TO BE A GREAT DAY OUT FOR ALL LURCHER PEOPLE,SO COME ALONG AND HAVE SOME FUN AND A CHAT.

ladyp 12
Definately be going, I've never been to Lurcher racing before so will be a good experience! Still trying to get Roo fit but will give him a run anyway! Do they have to where muzzles whilst running? and if so do you have to supply your own or could I borrow one? Yes they have to wear muzzles whilst racing. You can supply your own or borrow one from me,i have most sizes.

staffiedownwest 6
will there be any terrier racing ? No sorry, there isn't any terrier racing planned for this year's show. However, if enough people wanted to do some after the show, it may be possible to arrange, but I couldn't gurantee it. Perhaps, all being well and the showing being received well, it is something i can add for next year

staffiedownwest 6
Just letting you all know that there has been a change to the Terrier Judge. Unfortunately, Hugh Griffiths who had been booked is unable to attend and therefore I have made a late replacement. the new Judge is Mario Frainney. He is a local working man who has owned and worked lurchers and terriers for number of years and exhibited staffordshire bull terriers Unfortunately, there is not enough time to amend the schedules to reflect this change. bullmastiff 615
As it's only a week to go, I thought I'd look up Roundham on google maps, it shows a field next to what looks like a farm and business estate! is this it or have you got a postcode I could use? Cheers

staffiedownwest 6
There is very little in Roundham, but a farm estate and a few houses. There is also a pub called the travellers inn and the post code for that is TA18 8RH, if you are coming from the Chard side, you will go past this pub on the right and the show field is shortly past the pub on a bend. If you come through Crewkerne and you see the pub on your left, you have missed the field. Hope that helps. Mario in Crewkerne, still has a staff and no not coincidence!
