Guest JohnGalway
Morning all, Where would I find fish oil, besides the obvious answer? I'm talking about gallon etc measures for hunting purposes. I know of three sellers on Ebay but as they're all in the USA postage is a killer due to the weight. Ireland would be excellent but UK source would do also. Thanks in advance, John Quote Link to post
Guest Ditch_Shitter
'The f*ck are ye after that ye want Gallons of the shit, JG? What ever. I bought some off the Bay. I can't honestly remember if he was uk or Eire based. I Do remember feeling extremely happy with his level of service though. I bought 500ml. But the guy can probably accomodate and, like I say; His postage rates, speed of delivery and all over manner left me with a warm feeling. I'll try to dig through my Bay records and suss out who the hell he was presently Quote Link to post

Geoff.C 0
John, this may seem a stupid question, but I bet I am not alone wondering what you will do with a gallon of fish oil? Apart from possibly soaking a lure for a drag hunt, I don't have any other idea's. Can you tell us what you plan? Quote Link to post

rich808 0
I use fish oil for carp fishing, should be available from your local fishing tackle shop. Horse feed places sell cod liver oil in 5 litre containers for about £13 http://www.feedem.co.uk/horse-117/horse-ca...er-oil-1296.htm Quote Link to post

weejohn 3
well john do you have any trout or salmon farms around you? if so make your own oil and it will be the smelliest oil you will ever use. all you need is a large bin/bucket, go to the trout/salmon farm and ask if they have any morts that they want rid of. if so take them home and put them in the bin/bucket and put the bin/bucket somewhere warm and just wait for the oil to come to the top. make sure you put a lid on or you will have watered down oil. i know in the summer you could easily get a gallon in 4or 5 days. to speed the process up a bit give the fish a mash when they are in the bin/bucket. if you dont have any farms round you you could also try any fish shop that process there own fish and ask for any of the guts and frames of the trout/salmon/tuna or mackeral as these would produce the most oil. if you were closer i could give you gallons of oil. i havnt tried the oil route yet but i suppose the foxs are used to the smell around me. Guest Ditch_Shitter
Just to update, John; I'm afraid I've looked all over and can't trace either the original purchase details nor any sign of anyone else offering the stuff I have on the Bay Anyway, I have Wychwood Winterised Mackeral Oil. On my results with it thus far? F*ck it! Quote Link to post
