i could believe it as i have seen one particular pair if whippets (purebred kc reg) do both of these species pre ban, on quite a few occasions, ive no doubt about it if there bred from the right stuff and entered right they will do it. by no way am i saying they would be good at it very regularly, or do it with particularly good style,or single handed but they can do it paired up ok.

I was talking to a bloke toay who swore blind he had two 30 pound whippets which pre-ban regularly took fox and roe deer. Believable or not?

i would say he s telling the truth,i new a fella who used to take roe out a park with a 32lb non ped whippet in the 70s he was out of work at the time so this is how he made a bit extra £££.he said thesame dog (brandy)also killed foxes easily, good size whippet though i think small one s might sruggle a bit though :good:

Ive seen greyxwhippet take big stuff, the dog was 38lb. The 30lb dogs can do it, but that extra

bit of weight helps it do the job better. They are great dogs , they have a heart like a lion,

but for the things with teeth, you need a bigger dog.
