to b quite honest in my property after pinning my dog to the ground i would of shot the c**t dog is clearly a saucey one id have no time for it but as stated this could of been prevented

So whilst your dog is being pasted you nip inside to pop the kettle on? Or failing that you stick your fingers up its nostrils? Don't know how many dogs you have seperated but you are obviously not fond of keeping your fingers.

If i had a dog and another dog pinned my dog to the ground i would kick the other dog so hard, that it would have to get off. Your dad would have had no right to shoot the dog, if youre dog was locked in the yard and then the do got in then maybe. What gun did he use? all the best for the dog

spudsk 100, the short answer is no. if your dad did shoot it and was found out your looking at a big law suit if the owner finds out. and lost of your dads gun for firing it so close to a dewelling. you can't discharge a firearm with in 60 yards of a house or centre of a public right of way. hope this helps. hope dog is on the mend soon, :thumbs:

I beg to differ, if you look at a firearms certificate on the additional conditions it says quote " (d) the shooting of of animals for the protection of other animals or humans.

yeah, but here in eire we have a totally different set of rules. we have alot more rules. and gardai around here are fairly strict.

I dont know how many dog fights you have stopped, but a dog as big as that and if it means it kicking it will do not a lot, especially if its moving around a lot. You may infact do your own dog damage.

Best thing to do is to stop the dog shaking, choke the dog, keeping the dog under slight tension (with someone holding the other dog) untill it releases its grip and then if you feel the need to kick the fecker then kick it, with some stout foot ware or steels.

em my da got the man to put his dog down so the husky is dead..............my dogs ear is ok healing well but he wont be ready for a lamp yet...........em i feel sorry for the husky but he shud not of came down the lane and attacked my lurcher so he deserved it....... .........shud my da have shot it straight away......?????.............can i have an opinion on this.....?
