fish 148
Having been involved in a few digs in my younger days (France & Ireland) i have seen what happens to overly hard dogs that get stuck in with a pig, you tend to bury them with the backfill.I'm sure that someone will say that such a dog exists but iv'e never seen one, i have seen a bull terrier X staff that was the best draw dog iv'e ever seen but even he would would get a severe chopping in the process. The whole idea was to hold the quarry in one place so that it could be dug to, not to try and kill it. A single handed badger dog - same as a Newcastle Virgin :tongue2: good post bud very true about the dogs. dont know about newcastle virgins thou Quote Link to post

Guest SHOT
Can anyone see a reversal in the protected status of the badger in the uk & if so under what circumstances . i cant see it ever happening, they,ll just keep having these approved culls every so often. on the tv a few weeks back one scientist claims he found that after a cull they found that bovine tb in cattle went up or no change??? as a conseqence and that for culling to be affective it would have to be done over a massive area Quote Link to post
donnyc 1,203
They are already trapping and gassing in some areas big time .But something needs to be done as its getting out of control in places ..Roads collapsing etc .They had to put a new section of road in near me ,three weeks later it collapsed again Quote Link to post
