What makes me laugh with these games wilf is when either the old firms new foreign signing is getting interveiwed on the eve of their first old firm game for their club and they try and play it all cool and profesional saying "oh ive played in a few big derby games in europe before...it should be no problem........" then after the game the same expierenced overseas player gets interveiwed and is usually white as a sheet, talking all gibberish with a look on his face saying....what the feck wiz that !!!

Absolutely right i noticed that...thats the problem with chelsea these days, they have no real loyalty to their club, just their team...it could be ANY team of 11 bob smiths costing 25 million each !...lets face it if the russian had bought doncaster united, macclesfield town....or even newcastle utd :D ...that team would be where chelsea are today.....if chelsea were relegated next year there attendance would half,fact!......when west ham went down a few years ago our average attendance dropped by less than 1000......

Some things tell their own truths...1 being, you dont see many old chelsea fans !....the kids today love them, but in my opinion most are not true football fans.

Wilf get yourself back down their mate......get in that bobby moore stand and you wont find a soul sitting down thats for sure.

As for rivalries.......wolves/west brom takes some beating...as did the old west ham/millwall days....but for sheer atmosphere the jocks has got to be tops...genuine supporters with passion.....

I went to a Panathinaikos/olympiacos game while holidaying in greece a few years back...that put even the jocks in the shade ! crazy.

so about 10 years ago united bought through a couple of good players.....what have they done since.....nothing.....chelsea have brought through a few players obviously they wernt as good as beckham and scholes but they were still produced at chelsea....the hammers are probably the best team to bring them through the youth set up and that look at joey cole, frank lampard, rio & anoton ferdinand now they got that young player who scored on his premiership debut the other day who looks like a decent little player....i take my hat off to the hammers but to man u i won't.....they bring through 2 players and think they have earned themselves a reputation for bringing these players through bollox.....you go on about chelsea buying the league look at uniteds team.....tevez...rooney....ferdinand....ronaldo....nani....saha.... and list goes on....they were all bought and all the top teams battled for them because they were big names or looked like they were going to be good footballers....all everyone says is about chelsea....man u has been buying top players for years so why isnt anything said about them

we buy players that are young mate. and will be good for the team for many years to come. long term plan thats the way forward. some of the big name players you got are at there prime now and in a couple of years you will have to buy again. but i dont mind your lot mate i hate the gunners as they are very bad losers. i admit man utd can be but at least furguson admit the other team played well. where wenger wont and that pisses me off

I never mentioned Cantonas scoring output, Merely thats all I can remember doing..

And as for adding confidence and belief..I suppose Mark Hughes, Gary Pallister, Steve Bruce and Paul ince were wearing fred the red mascots were they??? Infact until Roy Keanes Midfield masterclass in the champions league semi final vs. juve 99, Probably the greatest game I have ever seen one man have was mark Hughes single handed demolition of his old team Barcelona in the 93??? ECWC final..Fantastic...

Paolo Di canio??? You dont have to mention him to me my old pal Wilfy..I tore down his poster when he left us as I had his name on the horrendous luminous green shirt the hoops wore at the time..but my mam is west ham so was pleased he went there later..And that goal at OT..Love it.. The scissor kick, The white boots..catching the ball when Richard wright was injured..I could go on all day..what isnt to love about him.. :notworthy:

The best was when he pushed over that excuse for a man, Paul Alcock, who was refereeing the hammers versus Arsenal. And then Winterburn tries to get involved and does a massive swerve thinking Di Canio was going to clout him. Di Canio was only scratching his ear. :clapper:

Di canio certainly didnt have legend type status down at west ham.....in fact he took a lot of stick when he first arrived...upton park crowds have always been hard on a foreigner who doesnt give 100 %....just ask that prick boa morte :gunsmilie: .........at the start di canio wanted the ball at his feet or he would just stand with his hands in the air.....but credit where its due he had fantastic ability and put in some great displays and was well liked....certainly not legendary status though.
