I have a 14 month old Border dog. Always active and works well, however he does not seem to put on any weight. What should a Border dog of 14 months weight. ? He has the stamia of a wolf running behind the wife horse while out hacking.

What sort of food, given dry mostly with rabbit twice a wwek, any pointers.

his height in inches to the shoulder should approx be his weight in lbs...so a 12 inch at the shoulder BT should weight about 12.

have you wormed him?

does he eat all his food, or does he leave a bit?

If he is eating all his food when you put it down he may want/need bigger portions, but you dont want him having too much and becoming fat, that said my dogs are pretty much ad lib fed and eat left overs as well and they are OK

probably worms?

or he is just naturally thinner---like me ;)
