byron 1,179
had a small collection myself as a kid but to be a bit controversial i really cant see the point, would rather see them flying around and singing than eggs just laid in a box. if people nust why not go nesting and when you find just take a photo, what is the difference in looking at a photo or an egg laid in a box. people who collect rare birds eggs deserve all the time thrown at them, maybe contrevershal but all the same my opinion. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> still laws on photography ie schedule1 etc. old mate of mine;s lad use to come out with me year;s ago and has now turned to phot;s thank fxck i suppose as we get older it still holds that fasination.on another point how;s the sparrow population in your area?the older lads on here will remember how common they use to be but in these days of new builds plastic facia;s etc there is little chance of them getting in anywhere to breed/roost so why not give them a hand it dont take much get some feeders out. build a sparrow terrace nest box etc. as they say on the telly [every little helps]
