had a small collection myself as a kid but to be a bit controversial i really cant see the point, would rather see them flying around and singing than eggs just laid in a box. if people nust why not go nesting and when you find just take a photo, what is the difference in looking at a photo or an egg laid in a box. people who collect rare birds eggs deserve all the time thrown at them, maybe contrevershal but all the same my opinion.

still laws on photography ie schedule1 etc. old mate of mine;s lad use to come out with me year;s ago and has now turned to phot;s thank fxck i suppose as we get older it still holds that fasination.on another point how;s the sparrow population in your area?the older lads on here will remember how common they use to be but in these days of new builds plastic facia;s etc there is little chance of them getting in anywhere to breed/roost so why not give them a hand it dont take much get some feeders out. build a sparrow terrace nest box etc. as they say on the telly [every little helps]

My mate was recently caught with over 800 Eggs.

Ive been trying to find out how he got on when he went to court but ive had no luck as yet and nobody seems to of heard anything of him.

He was caught in northhumberland and was down as having an address there, even though he's ironicly from near Coventry.

I know there now giving custodial sentences for Egg Collectors....just wondered if was put inside.

Hi,

of couse would try and get discocunt for site members, :good:

Yes I also like taking photos of sites, if this is against the law, so be it, hey they cant stop us from doing everything, can they  Im been involved with the BTO on ringing schemes, nesting site schemes etc and really enjoy it

Ive now got the best egg collection I have ever had, red kites, ospreys, honey buzzards the lot.

Bu, before ant oohs and arrhs and telephone or emails to the RSPB, they are replicas. These are as near as damm it exact, in every details, hand painted, anotomically correct. I will post the artists site for any intereste parties to have a gander at.

Darcy you have a pm
