brown bread for dogs?

Recommended Posts

i'd say more of a filler mate. i use it but i make sure that the raw meat etc comes first. brown bred has lots of minerals etc in it for dogs, but you can't replace proper meat. DO NOT FEED WHITE BREAD!!!

you dont get the fibre value from rice or pasta .... wholemeal bread is fine and there is no problems feeding that type of bread to dogs .... Yeast dough is a different matter as it will expand in the gut ... but cooked wholemeal bread isnt a problem at all ...........

Why do various people use this as part of a dogs diet..is it purely for the carbs ?

forget about bread mix corn flakes in with the feed ,these toasted flakes of corn are high in carbs and iron and minerals

Except Cornflakes are overloaded with Salt.

too much even in 1 or 2 cupfulls ,

I certainly wouldn't replace the ammount of bread with cornflakes unless i was only feeding a slice or two. There's plenty of running dog men that feed their dogs cereal for breakfast so a cup or two is no problem although they are far too high in salt for my liking.
