Surely lakeland or russell is determined by blood and not colour,what lines of russell is in them?

fair comment .lakeland sire and dam black and tan throw a tri col terrier 90% white what is it - lakeland whos giz a feck so long as it does for you workwise- in the show ring its a russell or russell type with the right paperwork it a parson russell call em what you like white crossbred terrier

hear is my old lakie russell billy cracker of a dog his sire was 3/4 lakie 1/4 russell dam was a pure russell ans still came black and tan

most of gouldys russelss, came out of my old mans lines, craking pups earth, like the pup with the black ear and half mask, cant wait to see them when there 6 or 7 weeks.

 

some good blood in these russells lads.

That would be good see if it is the same dog.I had a job to move some pigs off a building site years ago .for a pest control firm ,they had to get a special license. Took the winston dog with me.

my dad reckons winston was a good dog, A little head strong, and abit to big in the chest, but rated him very highly, said he was far to hard for hunt, work but a useful terrier to have in the kennels, lined quite alot of bitches. but he rated him highly, game and never failed to reach his quarry.

Sorry for hijacking the thread mate ..Just nice to get others opinions on different dogs.I know there were a couple of lads on the Pat site that knew A Shaw and his dog Winston.
