woodga 170 Posted March 21, 2008 Report Share Posted March 21, 2008 Well to day was RATCHERMANS first trip out with the wires i made up some snares only two days ago new brass and still shiney i wanted to show that new snares would catch rabbits RATCHERMAN had his doubts untill he saw with his own eyes after 2 hours they were catching rabbits here are a few pictures from today i found this deer carcase hanging on the fence its foot had become trapped in the mesh and it must have died a slow death the start of the snaring nice new wires fresh from the shed RATCHERMAN SETTING HIS FIRST WIRE his first rabbit he was well pleased as you can tell and it was neck snared a peg snare caught this one we have a few hoops to check tomorrow few others we picked out of the snares before we left those new snares caught well darkness was creeping in when we called it a day RATCHERMAN carrying a few back to the motor 33 rabbits today out of the wires and they are still down ready for tomorrow not bad for shiney new brass snares Quote Link to post

snareman 3 Posted March 22, 2008 Report Share Posted March 22, 2008 nice one where do you get snares from i have a few shop brought ones and i never catch as maney as that i only ever get a few a night mabey 3 out of 20 and most ar nocks or just untouched mabey im setting them wrong ? thats how you are hardly catching any, because you are using shop bought snares , how many times have people been told on this site that these type of snares are pure shite, thats why woodga is getting big catches because he is using his own professionally made snares , Quote Link to post
