A start to a new season

Recommended Posts

A new season has already begun on the tyne, and a few fish have been caught. Only 17 through out the whole river have been caught this year so far. The number is so far is good and hopefully will rise as more fish start to show. I fish both spinners and fly, but still have to enjoy a fight on the fly rod and hope to do so this season. Has anyone else caught a fresh spring salmon yet, if so please could you let me know what you caught it on e.g spin, fly and what lure or fly was used to do so.

Many Thanks

To be honest with you they are as efficient as each other in my eyes. So which ever your most comfortable with using. For spinning try Flying C's in RED and BLACK, Tobies BLACK/GOLD COPPER and GOLD also try the Devon Minnows in BLACK/GOLD BLUE/SILVER etc. But for flies try most ally's shrimp and the ally's cascade also try the garry dog, and stoats tail with silver body.
