im thinking of going myself i put a post up back along no one seems to know much ,i go out quite frequently was out last month and started asking questions about it but the main answers was you buy your permit and go as far as you want the mountain areas are massive and never policed about hunting matters ,unless its poaching on private lands there big on hare coursing but i think its further up north and were the plains are but if you find out more please let me know.

did you see that cooking in spain on channel 4 last night , they were flushing with dogs last night in the andalucia region, the dogs looked quite smart , mostly rabbit , but i assume you can make your own sport out there in them there hills ., and where there is rabbit there must be predator,

whilst out there last time costa blanca went int mountains saw rabbit ,very large red squrril,and couple of brits getting out of a car with shot guns and going for a walk into the hills its very brush like and lots of smallish trees for as far as the eye can see

there boar there ,and even bears in the north

i think as it stands if you buy a permit you can hunt on any goverment land not in breeding seasons or nature reserves its hard to find out about it ,

i think you can hunt them but in seasons

thanks for all the info , most informative , so that makes up my mind, by the looks of it I i need one more patty and a big fuckoff dog that can hold , my wife is going to go mad over this hahahahahaa, any suggestions on the big dog.

funny you should mention the boerbul, i have alot of south african mates in my industry (saturation diver) and most of them have those dogs back home in there country, I was even offered one for free if i got over there and got it, they are apparently the business and dont take no shit , but not to good with other dogs ie terriers , but i do like the idea.

I owned a male Boerboel when living in South Africa and he was used as a farm dog and killed anything from Jackals,Baboon,Carcel and even a small Leopard. He was great with my other dogs witch were a female Rottweiler and a female Aussie cattle dog but never came across another male dog. He was a great dog but was killed by a wondering lion.

f**k me, that was some dog then , the yarpie lads are always showing me there stuff on there dogs , one lad had a red one and it looked the business, he uses it as a guard dog and apparently it has claimed a few arms and fingers from a few undesirable locals who thought it would be clever to see what he had in his house , f**k i would have loved to see that !! hahaa

Great dogs but pointless owning one in England imo. I have heard from breeders in S.A that Boerboels have killed large female spotted Hyenas single handedly as well.
