Guest Ditch_Shitter
What it is; I appear to have a certain Trojan in my system. It stops ye from downloading the kit that might kill it. Hence I'm unable to load my customary AVG Free Edition Anti Virus and go after this b*stard. It just screws the files as they arrive and causes an abortion. But there Might be a way! If anyone scoring all three on the above could go to their own AVG's programme folder and copy out the files. Then those files (c. 30MB, I believe) would need splitting down into three or four Zips. Each to weigh less than 10MB each. Send me those and I'd Hope to be able to put them all together again, outside this system, and run AVG from there, thus scanning my C Drive and killing that bug. IF all that makes perfect sense and ye Know that ye know what do do, please just pop a note up here that ye first in line to try. Save me getting flooded with PM's. Then PM me for the addy to send to and we'll get going Thanks.

Guest Ditch_Shitter
What makes me think it's this Trojan? I keep getting the same message / result when I try to get AVG so I Googled the message. Led me all over till I hit four pages of forum where someone had an identical problem. Turned out it was this Trojan. I'll try to get TR now. Still want AVG because I'm running naked just now and have always had AVG and never a problem since I started using it
speedlamper 0
avg free is probably better than most of the paid for a.v's, same with kapersky, when you googled the error mesage did it give you the bad file name or location?
Guest Ditch_Shitter
Take a scan across This. I'd might as well have been " Wendy ". I'm getting exactly what she had - figured the solution sounds about the same.
speedlamper 0
doesnt look like avg would shift it anyway ditch, can you download this from avg ? vcleaner.exe love the way they dont tell you on the free version faq but do on the avg pay site
Guest Ditch_Shitter
Bit of a question wether I 'can' DL just about Anything right now, mate. Managed to get SpyBot. Got that because it wouldn't let me get AdAware. Can't get Yahoo IMS. (These all throw the same failure message). Now I'm 65% through with ye Trojan thing, and that may well throw the message at the death! I'll just have to wait another twenty minutes or so and see. That's how slow I am, incidentally. 6MB takes me a good thirty minutes. I don't just rip things down for a quick look! If I'm slow in responding, that's because I'm trying to save all the KPS I can for this download. I'm running naked here and in silence.
speedlamper 0
everything i've come across says use ccleaner to remove all temp files n that, run spybot, turn system restore off on all drives, disable all the startup progs on msconfig you think you dont need, is avg portable any good to you? only 20mb downloaded in a .rar file from rapidshare
Guest Ditch_Shitter
I wouldn't f*cking know about the above, mate. But I reckon ye've already good as cracked it! Look! I got that Trojan thing. Ran it and, in a split second, it told me this is missing: C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Driver\11\Intel 32\IDriverT.exe I don't know what that is. But it has INSTALL in there! Bet ye That's why I can't 'Install' shit?! Then it says that file's loaded by this Registry Key (???) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\IDriverT\"ImagePath" WTF ye make of all that?
