he didnt have half the problems ali had,yet did you see ali biting peoples ears off because he couldnt beat them ?....

Did you see Tyson bashing his wives, I could be wrong but evidently Ali was an absolute prick of a husband! He was also a draft dodger, but that was OK was it because he was Ali, to f#cking scared to fight for his country, THAT is a cur.

Lets just concentrate on what the original post was about and that was that Iron Mike was a brilliant athlete in his prime.

spot on if tyson in his prime was fighting tonite people would be arguing whos making the tea /getting the beers in . like waiting for a time bomb to go off ,nearly 20 years down the line since he become well known and still the tremendous interest. nobody fought with as much intensity as tyson in the history of heavyweight boxing, demspey was very aggresive but didnt have the same power didnt have anywhere near the same combitions but a fighter that tyson loved to watch with cus .they took parts of his fighting style and remoulded it into there own package if there was a tyson fight on tv on one side and another boxer on the other side tyson in his prime 95 per cent of the veiwing public would watch tyson love him or hate him he will always be about, the most exciting boxer of all time

like i said before mate,i prefer to concentrate on what a fighter does in the ring...

Yeah sorry gnasher I didn't read that post until I had replied, but I don't think he needs to be called a cur, being asked to fight for your country in a war and bottling it while other young men went off to fight, that is definitely the ultimate form of cowardice, great heavyweight or not, he should hang his head in shame. The main reason Ali has a great following is his mouth, he had the medias attention.

Tyson reignited the heavyweight division, after Larry Holmes retired. In his hey day he was dynamite

:clapper: oneredtrim....your posts are a little harsh in my opinion...but very true...personally i dont care too much for what fighters do outside the ring whether it be tyson/ali or whoever...im a boxing fan not a showbiz/star fan...but that said,you are speaking the truth....ali commited his life to his faith and took what went with it....just like tyson did for all of 6 months until he decided being a muslim wasnt actually for him and went back to being what that clip showed he was......

From the greatest of all time,and i quote, "after winning a gold medal i returned to my home town,i went into a diner and sat down,the waiter said to me "sir we don't serve blacks in here" "thats ok" i replied "i couldnt eat a whole one anyway"

:clapper::clapper:

Ali was the greatest heavyweight of all time,Tyson wasnt fit to hold his spit bucket.I had the pleasure of meeting the great man in 1984.Out of the ring he was a humble and gracious man. :thumbs:
