mouse 282 Posted March 17, 2008 Report Share Posted March 17, 2008 go to france every summer and always take the lamp because at night they appear from everywhere.always around the edge of the lake where we fish all day but only ever seen them at night along with loads of frogs and water snakes.roll on july,got a month over there with the family in the motorhome. mouse 282 Posted March 18, 2008 Report Share Posted March 18, 2008 villefranche de queyran mate,near casteljaloux in the garonne mate.going to the med first ,then to this place then onto marennes on the atlantic coast.got to keep allthe family happy so a mixture of sites but the one i mentioned is just in middle of big forest.its magic and so is the fishing.the last one is next to some large marshes they say with loads of wildlife so we will have a mooch around no doubt. When he looked it was a fat coypu munching on the sweetcorn . He grabbed a bankstick gave it a few cracks across the head. He didnt stay till morning as he hates rats and these looked like rats on steroids. Quote Link to post
whin 463 Posted March 18, 2008 Report Share Posted March 18, 2008 ive only saw to coypu we kiled one the other feched off was along the sirtyyw all art the martela tower in aldeburgh suffolk was agreat place for hares and rabbits ,was ferreting one day and we disturbed one the lurcher killed it , dont no if they have sill got any in sufffolk etc this was 1991 92,,it got took over by the rspcb i think all the best if you can hack the walk in some place for hares and rabbits or it used to be cheers shallow digging ideal for saluk crosses etc as its shingle but great running Quote Link to post

This one in the pic (biggest of the afternoon) we got with a jagd, 2 fox terriers had overlooked this one but them jagds have a good nose on 'em. The entrance was under water in the shallows of a pond only 4 or 5 inches deep, and he was about a metre and a half up the tube. & one from a few weeks ago in the overflow of a pond. Do you take your dogs with you mate if you do is there any messing getting them over no mate i leave them at home.too much travelling and costs a load if you only going on hols,they have to have rabies injections and see a vet over there before you come home.where abouts are you waz and is there anything doing over in france in july.??
