I am curious to find out why someone would ferret i assume using ferrets if they all bite & should be shot, seems rather contradictory to me

he probably thinks it sounds impressive to say shoot the ferrets.... & there he was a while back asking if anyone has any ferrets available. they will be queuing up to hand them over now...

since making "the odd dodgey post" i have been better with most stuff like school for example i wont go into details but stuff can happen that changes you

I had noticed Will, Good on you mate. :clapper::thumbs:

i just spoke to my mate who has kept ferrets for 40 plus years told me to pick it up with one hand and put some milk in the cupped palm of my other hand and let it drink it and after a few times it will resemble being picked up and handled with a little treat. now going to try it.

just tryed the milk thing and this seems to work she was more intrested in treat the biting me. just phoned my mate who told me to try this method and he said make the amount of milk smaller each time over a few days and then no milk at all. then problem solved :clapper::notworthy::thumbs::boogie::)

What worked for me, was a trick I learnt from an old book. Obviously easier with Kit but will work with an adult doesn't sound like she is doing loads of damage.

When she bites, gently but firmly push your hand towards her whilst holding her in place. Basically push towards her without her being able to get away. When she squirms to get away hold it for a couple of seconds and then let her go. Immediately offer her the chance to do it again, hopefully she won't but if she does repeat.

This combined with all the postive advice you have had should sort it, I found whistling when I went to feed them made them come running when they were loose. I am sure this will help with the handling as well.

Good luck :D
