What about a us optics with 35mm tube if budget isn't a problem.............fooking turns me on............ :icon_eek::icon_eek::icon_eek::laugh::laugh::laugh: if not s&b, zesis, leupold, nightforce, any top maker. although my money would go to S&B or leupold.

Personally I would go for something 4-12 or bigger, 50 or more front lens, and bloody good optics with a mil-dot reticle.

Bushnell are good (Elite series really), Nightfore if you're feeling silly, but realistically GERMAN! Zeiss (conquest good VFM or so I hear), Schmidt are pretty good, and for slightly oddball, Meopta. My Meopta 7x50 is a very good scope indeed, but I've found that as it has a dot reticule it's not ideal when the target is further away. Contrary to what I was told, IR is useless at night, and only has its uses at the start or end of daylight (so not at all for a 223 fox rifle, slightly for a 223 deer rifle).

If you meant 'budget is no problem up to a point' and find that the £800 you will pay for German glass and a decent light-gathering and magnification is a bit silly, try MTC. Good ret, IR, big front end, for < £300.

Or, Falcon's 4-18x56 with mildots is meant to be pretty good, and is £230.

Good man, we need more silly people on here :D:thumbs:

Although if it's for foxing my one concern is your lowest magnification may be a tad high.
