Deker 3,478
I took Mr L out last night to help him add to his ever growing tally of foxes. Had a few bunnies but also 3 foxes altogether, Mr L accounted for 2 in fine fashion but according to his new fangled lazer rangefinder I had the longest of the night at just short of 200yards. (can't remember now what he said 193, 197 I think) Not looking for records but that is a long one for me, I don't usually even try that far out and prefer to get them in closer, and probably only ever had a handful over 200yards in all my days, so that came a a nice surprise. Turned out a good night weather wise as well, pounded the fields until just after 23.00, nice and still and "almost" warm....a bit too light though, anyway a good night! Quote Link to post

Guest JohnGalway
Well done fellas 200 is pretty much my limit at the moment also Better to get them in a bit closer as you say Deker. Quote Link to post
Deker 3,478
dont you have any pictures Getting to be a bit of a strange one with pictures, first off I don't have a digital camera or camera phone, sometimes borrow my brothers (thats what most of those I have put up were taken with). Mr L has at least a camera phone. Then I get abusive PM's saying I'm boasting about what I shoot putting pictures up or people saying it's sick! The forum is called THE HUNTING LIFE I believe so I'm a bit confused here! Anyway I think most stories benefit from the odd picture, simple fact is last night we just didn't take any..sorry! James@Scarborough 0
I'm not used to that being from elsewhere (mod on another site). I've never known anyone to get abuse for a "clean kill" of a pest species. Does this happen a lot? Quote Link to post

Deker 3,478
I'm not used to that being from elsewhere (mod on another site). I've never known anyone to get abuse for a "clean kill" of a pest species. Does this happen a lot? Nobody from a sensible sporting background would be "abusive", and I've never put anything up that was messy, actually the last fox I put up I deliberately showed the clean side not the exit side! It's life isn't it..there are those...., but much of my problem is I simply don't have the camera or camera phone! Ok ..plee from a poor shooter, anyone got an old digital camera or camera phone they have just upgraded from and don't use anymore..can I have it please, happy to pay carriage costs...many thanks! Mr_Logic 5
I should've taken a picture of the last one, just didn't think about it until we'd heaved her in the hedge... Quote Link to post

Steady on..I'll get another PM about how cruel I've been to dead foxes, what you meant was.... before we dug a hole, buried her with full honours saying kind words and then fired a 7 gun salute!
