doxhope 2
Young lad lives up the top of my road, had a very nice young lurcher - been watching the dog grow up and come on over the past year and a half or so. I asked him if I could have his dog, every time I saw him, since the first time I laid eyes on it. It kinda became a private joke between us. Gorgeous blue pup, was turning out to be a good hare dog. The dog was hit by some speeding twat last night, while trying to run across a country road to the lad who was stood on the other side. Poor bugger was dead instantly. The lad is crushed, and frankly I'm crushed for him. He's a good kid, and when mine was killed last month he went well out of his way to help me bury my dog. Blue was a grey/whippet/collie/saluki type, very light & racy, not over tall, about 25 or 26". I'm located in the north west, and I'm very keen to help hook the lad up with another pup if I can. If anyone knows of any good 'uns knocking about please let me know. RIP Blue Hey Jen, I lost a dog the same way once, I know exactly what it feels like Quote Link to post

This lad carried my dog with me, to the place I buried him. So when I heard the news I went straight round to his. And then stood there feeling awkward and sad. What can you say to someone when you really have been there? It's a shite way to feel. Quote Link to post
