Plummer terriers

Recommended Posts

Well Glen yet again no decent content in your post,it seems your never going to face your doubter's on this second rate showpony strain you've developed on the backs of other people, taking up some of your childish remarks on my last post it seems you really were dropped on your head as a baby, that was not my life story, but to illustrate to you that what was good enough for PLUMMER himself was on offer to yourself, while you were playing with your barby dolls I was out there testing and breeding not only terrier's but lurcher's as well,(clue) I am well known locally for having fast traditional bred lurcher's,as regards my challenge, that reply was expected from a known jibber like yourself, you've never answered one direct question on your dogs working ability in 42 pages and should be ashamed of posting on a working terrier forum, regarding the pm list,if any of these owner's of your dogs were of a digging type it might of been different, but you only seem to sell to inexperienced people,is this so you can carry on your masquerade or pretense of being a working terrierman, any one can own a dog,but getting the best out of it is a skill and I'm afraid you fall a long way short of the mark, this breed deserves to have better at the helm than an idiot like yourself, how you haven't been sussed up to now is beyond me.I think we should run a poll on the terrier site to see who thinks you're representing this breed properly, popular your not I can assure you of that,my pm's back that up for sure, are you not capable of getting along with anyone?I await with anticipation and mouth agog for your childish retort on this post or will you wait a few day's while whoever you get to write your replies sends you it,wirralman

"I only sell to the inexperianced"..assumptions again lol your just scared to take the ONE "pm" man out wilrybird even if he is inexperianced lol..surely all the rest that have contacted you one must beworthy of your time no ehh thought as much lol ..help them out wirrely lol all of them .

"Second rate" says who ? you?.. assumptions or lies .unbiased again!

"developed on the back of others" assumtions again ..and wrong.

Most matings i have done are my own ..and those that are not are more than likely instigated by myself as registrar and adviser which is down to experience you lack in the breed.

If you put up your pedigree i know doubt can likley tell you which of the dogs were mated to which other on my advise too ..

And now we are told your the best lurcher man in the country (well traditionally bred lurchers that is) ego or what!..you did'nt breed the lurchers around here olde timer ....

"this breed deserves to have better at the helm than an idiot like yourself, how you haven't been sussed up to now is beyond me"

IDIOT !! OOOWW steady now

Seems alot of things are beyond your comprehension including the fact that the answer is in your statement if your bright enough to understand that!

Perhaps you should take over the helm of this sinking doomed ship  every other newbie or in your lots cases that is stormy, friedbrain, whileyoldetimerman.. "ye wisey olde has beeny once over medlars left wi nowt goodolde days workem to death drivvlers" lol :hmm::o:doh::yes:

4 day's and you and your ghost writer can only go over the same paranoid rubbish, get some better people to write your script or change your medication!!!

Each to their own hedz. They dont make good pets as they need a lot of stimulation to keep them occupied or they find other outlets-aggression is often displayed by working terriers of all types when the hunting instinct is not channeled- plummers are especially fiery when not worked regularly. I've always found if you keep them busy you have no problems with over aggression.

I wasnt refering to keeping them as pets fella, i was refering to there poor earthdog ability compared to other breeds/types of terrier and there over aggresion to each other the breed as a whole seems very fiery and aggresive to other dogs on a whole but doesnt seem to be able to channel that fire and aggresion into its work

regards hedz
Well what can I say,

After 43 pages and 240 miles later, I will get mine in 9 week's time when it's ten week's old, I already have a Lurcher and a JRT and in 9 week's I will have to do another 240 miles to collect it. Also who said these dogs were made as earth dogs? Because I thought they were designed for rat's and rabbits NOT FOXES!? Please correct me if i'm wrong, as i'm pretty new to this thread!

These little dogs were originally bred as an all rounder but over the year's due to some strains getting to large and Plummer having easy access to ratting permission and writing a lot of books on rat killing etc,it now seems that ratting is the expected norm,I consider ratting a very limited use for an intelligent, versitile little dog that was supposed to be 12"-14"tts and easilly "spannable",why include "spannable" in the breed standard if its not ment for groundwork, expand your mind as regards work, some strains are capable of far more than just rats and rabbits, hope this helps and atb, wirralman

I was a teenager just in time for my ferrets and mice and rabbits have worked with dogs, the dogs either cover or push them out to Collie was used to catch bunnies. Local dog dug ironworks pipe was bolted to many of foxes to never. I was very happy with my bitch until he died aged three from meningitis.

Cheer's wirral countryman,

I know these little dog's are great, even tho some people think there not! But I am assuming i will find out.

My JRT is mustard on rat's, but not as versatile as these fast little bugger's! Hence-Rabbits.... peace!!! :toast:
