stormyboy 1,352
Ok glenn i am the f1 king, toby was a mongrel and probably not very good as youve seen no proof. hector was a mongrel and probably not very good as youve seen no proof. There never were plummer terriers. You caught us all out with your pup v mink test(???). My humble apologies for correcting your unfounded assumptions. Hope i haven't left anything out. Oh-sorry for picking up on your dreadful speeling. Hold on, just one more-you are invariably correct. And too smart for the likes of me. There i think ive covered it all. If not im sure you will correct me-thank you in advance. Now how about something POSITIVE about WORKING PLUMMER TERRIERS.(Along with some proof obviously). Thats what the threads supposed to be about after all. Edited July 22, 2010 by stormyboy Quote Link to post
wirral countryman 2,110
Well Glen yet again no decent content in your post,it seems your never going to face your doubter's on this second rate showpony strain you've developed on the backs of other people, taking up some of your childish remarks on my last post it seems you really were dropped on your head as a baby, that was not my life story, but to illustrate to you that what was good enough for PLUMMER himself was on offer to yourself, while you were playing with your barby dolls I was out there testing and breeding not only terrier's but lurcher's as well,(clue) I am well known locally for having fast traditional bred lurcher's,as regards my challenge, that reply was expected from a known jibber like yourself, you've never answered one direct question on your dogs working ability in 42 pages and should be ashamed of posting on a working terrier forum, regarding the pm list,if any of these owner's of your dogs were of a digging type it might of been different, but you only seem to sell to inexperienced people,is this so you can carry on your masquerade or pretense of being a working terrierman, any one can own a dog,but getting the best out of it is a skill and I'm afraid you fall a long way short of the mark, this breed deserves to have better at the helm than an idiot like yourself, how you haven't been sussed up to now is beyond me.I think we should run a poll on the terrier site to see who thinks you're representing this breed properly, popular your not I can assure you of that,my pm's back that up for sure, are you not capable of getting along with anyone?I await with anticipation and mouth agog for your childish retort on this post or will you wait a few day's while whoever you get to write your replies sends you it,wirralman Quote Link to post

I'm guilty of being drawn in,but its obvious that its all futile,Like arguing with a premenstrual woman. (No offence to the ladies-you actually make more sense!) With respect though, you are wrong about the plummers working ability-they work as good as any from the right lines. It does seem to me that some are losing sight of the fact in the race for kc reg. Personally i dont give a damn about getting reg for the breed, type, call them what you will. Yes they must be bred to a standard and have been relatively true to type for a good number of years. Arguments about breed or type? Best left to those that care-no one can say if and when they became a breed,so if that makes them a type,so be it. Its all a matter of opinion, which all are entitled to. Thankfully there are breeders whose main aim is to produce working plummers and long may they continue. Quote Link to post

stormyboy 1,352
Each to their own hedz. They dont make good pets as they need a lot of stimulation to keep them occupied or they find other outlets-aggression is often displayed by working terriers of all types when the hunting instinct is not channeled- plummers are especially fiery when not worked regularly. I've always found if you keep them busy you have no problems with over aggression. Quote Link to post
EPTR 4
Wrong again bill they make great pets I gave a bitch pup 13 years ago to a friend for his daughters 13th she taught it allsorts .An dis in better home than most working terrier homes as she actuly cares about the pup. The daughter grew up with a plummer now left home and is now an adult ..the pup she owned was left with the parents it died last year ..they came back and had another pup and girl has one to ..brilliant . These are not the first many I know have been sold to none working homes and do better. Rehomed working terriers to do sometimes go to pet homes and thay also end up doing well. I have no quarms at all about pet/companion homes and exepriance again tells me thta they are sound ...as long as the owner is knowledgebale...and has the time to exercise. Quote Link to post
EPTR 4
Toby lost to ground ..before used ..typical working terrier attitude work first the legend dies briliant dog left nothing behind ..er now what..nowt in reserve not even a single insurance litter ??? "Typical working terrier attitude",you really that stupid to not know it's called testing your stock and seeing if it's worth breeding from and imo it does make you look a proper twat saying such things on a working terrier topic glen. You working terrier folk it seems you've all been breeding it wrong for hundreds of years now? . yea and the fastes way to loose some of the most needed genes in a new breed. instinct is inherited ..IMO and so genetcis goverens it ..Simpley put ...no need to test your dogs first..but always best to have insurance ..toby didnt produce nowt ..so its back to medling about with f2s again lol Edited July 26, 2010 by EPTR Quote Link to post

"Second rate" says who ? you?.. assumptions or lies .unbiased again! "developed on the back of others" assumtions again ..and wrong. Most matings i have done are my own ..and those that are not are more than likely instigated by myself as registrar and adviser which is down to experience you lack in the breed. If you put up your pedigree i know doubt can likley tell you which of the dogs were mated to which other on my advise too .. And now we are told your the best lurcher man in the country (well traditionally bred lurchers that is) ego or what!..you did'nt breed the lurchers around here olde timer .... "this breed deserves to have better at the helm than an idiot like yourself, how you haven't been sussed up to now is beyond me" IDIOT !! OOOWW steady now Seems alot of things are beyond your comprehension including the fact that the answer is in your statement if your bright enough to understand that! Perhaps you should take over the helm of this sinking doomed ship every other newbie or in your lots cases that is stormy, friedbrain, whileyoldetimerman.. "ye wisey olde has beeny once over medlars left wi nowt goodolde days workem to death drivvlers" lol Quote Link to post
fireman 10,869
Depends on what you want the new breed for really .I myself have helped home 4 plummers from pet homes into working homes as they were not sutable as just pets and they were all cases of pretty looking dogs being in the worng hands. But as you say instint is inherited and there is probebly truth in your own bred dogs doing better in pet homes than most. 1 Quote Link to post
