Plummer terriers

Recommended Posts

GLEN,lots of your people you have sold pups to are the one's asking me to get their dogs working to ground for them as it seems you can't,as regards mocking a man that loses 25yrs of breeding truely show's the kind of man you really are,I wouldn't wish it upon anyone, not even you,the gypsies that raided the cheshire hunt kennell's took every terrier there at the time including mine,I did not get the chance to breed off my last and only bitch as she was run over before I got the chance,it wasn't about breeding hundreds of russell terrier's or money, just seeing good dogs grafting in the time honoured way,I would think your dogs will be safe though as they only seem to take good working dogs, how many of your dogs have seen proper hunt service?it takes a good dog to bolt a fox run to ground by hounds with a waiting field sat in judgement,my bitches never let me down,I'll bet you can't say the same of your show ponies, don't bother answering this post as I fully intend to ignore your idiotic ravings from now on as they don't make any sense to me or most on this site, wirralman

Sorry wirrelly but i dont beleive a single word you say about your dogs ( i was told to expect this in the pms  )

Like plummer said theres no such thing as a wise old man  ..and this phrase seems more than apt here.Dogs getting nicked no pickys of the heroic dogs ..no nothing all gone in one swoopp..foolish man then...and one i certainly would avoid selling a decent dog to.

Now if id been breeding a line for 25years id be pretty chuffed of my work and make sure that I had lads with my stock about (like toka your one and only request for work) ...So perhaps you thought they were'nt up to much and could afford to loose them easily replacable.

Mine arent so easily replaced and consider them valuable hence I send them to peolp who i hope can work them well and have the same genes as my own terriers ...you know as an insurance ...

When you say theres a que for your help then the pMs are lookig more and more true ...

I expect a full (as you said unbiased..yea ight lol ) report on these dogs that havelined up for your help :clapper::clapper: , ..but i will not hold my breath

well lads it turns out my little plummer is a remlap bred dog out of vandal, sire was bedlam tyla 100% digging dog and bitch was bedlam jemma,a decent bitch on a fox,its nice to have a bit of background,I believe this strain is still small and they're known earth dogs which explains why my little fella works so well,worker/worker bred, the bitch was the sire's half sister and was not a sanctioned mating resulting in no registration,so my mystery is now solved thanks to jill at the plummer terrier association,so now I know which strain produced many worker's REMLAP,atb, wirralman

Thats good to know wirrelman but no surprise! Like i said, you were looking in the wrong place. The line is the essence of what the plummer was and should be-fiery,game dogs with outstanding nose. They were started from the F1 I bought from Brian in the early 80's and built from there.

Remlap have continued the line well and kept it very tight. There have been some problems in the past but very few failures come from the line. :victory:

my mate andy was told not to breed them as they were too close by the pta and jill told me the same when I confirmed the breeding, maybe she was right because the bitch had 3 pups, all dogs,my dog danny has had no problems but the other two died within 12mts of parvo,I'm sure the expert will tell us why,all she told me was to stay away from remlap bitches as they would be unsuitable for my dog, atb, wirralman

Well imo there'd be no lines as it were if it weren't for a bit of inbreeding so don't get that one on 1/2 brother sister matings unless the parents before them were bred the same way from the same lines so to speak, still again the clubs know best eh!.Stainlee i again say sorry for getting it wrong just a mad coinedence it seems lol.Goodluck in your quest wcm and keep us all updated.
