had a fox out from under a caravan once 2 in the morning the owner wasn't happy.shot and wounded he went 2 feilds and under the caravan two terriers hot hot on his tail there was a big battle under there.

From what a close friend has told me, the weston & banwell used to mark in hollow trees alot. When they used to bolt them for hounds they used to run to as far as they could on the branches and jump and hit the floor running.

 

We had a fox squeeze up between an old collapsed concreat floor and the new one that was laid on top, that was a hell of job to get out as the top layer was all reinforced with wire.

I went out with the terriers last season to check some earths and crags, we got a big dog fox early on but none of the other places held. Almost back to the farm when the terriers marked a hollow tree(alder) the fox was about 12 feet up inside the hollow trunk, in the end it was my cocker spaniel that climbed up and drew a huge old vixen!!

Once dug an old tip, when we broke through the fox was in the drum of an old washing machine, sick with mange.
